We're inviting your school to take part in an exciting project which encourages young people to explore what smoking means to them.
The Smokefree Suffolk Alliance, in partnership with Healthy Ambitions Suffolk and Healthy Schools, is asking pupils in years seven to 10 to produce a short film (maximum of four minutes) about smoking and tobacco.
The project aims to involve pupils in an ongoing debate about a subject which affects people’s lives in so many different ways. It is an ideal vehicle for discussion across the curriculum, including science, PSHEe, English, as well as ICT, drama, media studies and art, and provides an innovative way of fulfilling an important component of your healthy schools work.
All DVDs will be judged by an expert panel and the shortlisted teams will be invited to the full red carpet treatment at our spectacular Oscars night at Cineworld in Ipswich in May 2011.
More details about how to enter are available through the short film and links below.
