A re-launch for Healthy Ambitions Suffolk!!!

Since our launch in 2008 Healthy Ambitions Suffolk has made good progress towards making Suffolk the healthiest county by 2028. But the time has come to re-assess how we can make an even bigger impact and to make it in a climate of financial challenges.

We will soon be re-launching Healthy Ambitions Suffolk concentrating upon the area where we can all make the biggest impact – the health of our hearts.

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk will change its format to become a social enterprise. We will still work with all of our partners in the public, voluntary and business sectors, but we will do so as a charity. This means that we can attract more funds from a wider variety of sources. We will also earn money through our wholly owned commercial company - 'HASfutures Ltd'. All profits from HASfutures Ltd will be used for charitable purposes to help the health of people in Suffolk.

Dr Peter Funnell, Chair of Healthy Ambitions Suffolk, said that the new focus and structure will be better for everyone and make the initiative more sustainable over the next 18 years:

"When we re-launch Healthy Ambitions Suffolk in the coming weeks the emphasis will still be to inspire everyone in the county to play their part and to make the small changes in lifestyle that can make a big difference."
